Angola’s national oil company Sonangol has begun testing at the Tobias-14 well (TO-14), located in Block KON-11 onshore Angola.
Sonangol and its project partner – oil and gas company Corcel – expect to determine the initial flow test results of the well in the coming weeks.
Preparation is also underway for the testing of the TO-13 well – set to commence following the completion of TO-14.
The KON-11 Block comprises the Tobias field – a historically-producing asset – and Sonangol and Corcel aim to determine a higher original oil in place figure through a revised interpretation of the existing structures.
Sonangol serves as operator of the block while Corcel owns a 20% working interest.
