SGA Angola and Singapore’s Changi Sign 2-Year Partnership

Angola’s Airport Management Company (SGA Angola) and Singapore’s airport consulting firm Changi Airports International (CAI) have signed a two-year partnership agreement to maximize the traffic potential and profitability of 16 regional airports in southern Africa.

Under the agreement, CAI will leverage its experience to support air traffic development at Angola’s airports while outlining plans to increasing domestic and regional air connectivity. The partnership will drive marketing campaigns to attract passenger traffic to SGA’s airports.

“There is enormous economic and tourism potential waiting to be explored, and improvements to air connectivity and airport offerings could help realize these possibilities,” stated CAI CEO Eugene Gan.

With support from CAI, the partnership is poised to improve SGA’s financial performance while delivering a long-term human development and training strategy.

“By sharing knowledge, expertise and resources, we are certainly building a future where airports will be more efficient, safe and sustainable,” added SGA Angola CEO Manuel Gomes.

The signing ceremony took place on February 18 in Singapore and was witnessed by Angola’s Secretary of State for Civil Aviation, Maritime and Ports Rui Carreira and Changi Airport Group CEO Lee Seow Hiang.
