Emilio Costa is a distinguished industry executive with vast experience in oil and gas logistics services. As the General Manager of Sonangol Integrated Logistics Services (SONILS), Costa has contributed heavily towards the growth of Angola’s entire oil and gas value chain. Under his role, SONILS plays a pivotal role in facilitating the exploration, production, and transportation of oil and gas resources in Angola, offering services such as offshore supply base operations, transportation, warehousing, and cargo handling.
Costa’s extensive experience in overseeing company development and operations at SONILS, where the company has collaborated with major stakeholders like bp, TotalEnergies, Halliburton, and Baker Hughes, positions him as a key figure addressing logistics challenges and opportunities in Angola.
Prior to his current role, Costa held leadership roles at Puma Energy and Trafigura in Angola.
With upcoming transregional infrastructure projects, including the rehabilitation of the Lobito corridor, and the buildup of the planned Angola-Zambia Oil Pipeline, Costa continues to play a crucial role on enhancing logistics in the country.
